HERRAMIENTAS DE TECNOLOGÍA:

Tenemos muchas herramientas disponibles para trabajar ON LINE con fines académicos

De aquellas que hemos utilizado, encuentro muy practicas las siguientes:

1.- Spicy noodle.- Siendo una herramienta de ordenamiento categorizado de contenidos me parece muy ágil y atractiva. Se trata de una aplicación gratuita que permite añadir fotografías y explicaciones de cada tema. Es muy parecido a power point pero, yo lo encuentro más audaz.

Para tener éxito con esta aplicación vasta con categorizar los niveles de contenidos y a mí me sirvió inclusive para hacer presentaciones bilingües ingles / español.

 2.-Videos de YOUTUBE en donde tienes muchísimas temas desarrollados en varios idiomas y de diversas partes del mundo. Allí se puede acudir a estos videos ya creados o puedes elaborar tu propio vídeo para lo cual no necesitas más que una cámara y micrófono. Es una herramienta poderosa para que los estudiantes cuenten con explicaciones que puedan a posterior acudir para la revisión previa a exámenes.

3.-Prezzi: Es muy creativo y me gustó por ser muy dinámico. Esta herramienta es pagada pero es posible acceder por un periodo de 1 mes de forma gratuita. Un trabajo en grupo nos ayudó para comprender su uso.

4.-Photo chick:- Lo utilizamos como grupo para elaborar el comic. Este permite convertir fotografías en dibujos de comic. Es fantástico y sencillo de usar. Es gratuito pero necesitar estar conectado a una buena fuente de internet para que trabaje de manera adecuada.

5.-Blogger.-Dinámica herramienta a la disposición de los usuarios de google.com

Es  una herramienta de fácil aprendizaje que ofrece amplias opciones de trabajo y organización de contenidos. El blogger cuenta con portafolio de diseños diversos que facilitan la ambientación del blog a fin de ser más atractivo.

6.-Google drive.- Interesante aplicación que permite el almacenamiento on line de  datos en la red. Estos archivos pueden ser abiertos desde cualquier punto de internet y los cambios sobre los mismos que se hagan resultan en actualizaciones inmediatas a los archivos.

This child in the picture is motivated to search through the internet the world wonders, where he is unable to visit in real life. So, because internet and technology he can travel by a virtual tour.

But, this child may also be in risk of not enjoying the wonders that  are in the other side of his window, because the time he spends in front of the PC. 

It is necessary to balance your time of exposition to the technology and to the reality. 

A shared learning making an appropriate use of resources (time, softwares, connections, blogs, accessible services, videos, others) on the internet.

ONLINE RESOURCES FOR LEARNING:

There are tools that facilitate the task of scientific research and learning. Through the internet you can relate to researchers who are in remote parts of the world but who have jobs, doubts and similar findings.

It is true that we can make the mistake of going from blog to blog and not go deeper into the news and contributions they bring so, this results in a personal energy cost because, the time required to create blogs, web pages, others.

However, the generous community of learning runs training process that articulates and shares similar interests. This is a concrete way that enhances the virtual process in order to grow as people and professional.

The Facebook is a powerful social network that we use to facilitate our daily communication but it is necessary take Facebook on academics fields. This is an information channel that allows you to receive updates on the work performed by individuals or institutions and puts them in qualitative relations and contacts with the knowledge and science data.

There are other tools like Twitter, youtube, playlists, e -book, ReadList, Blog, prezzi, many others that are free or paid, but more importantly, they allow us to put the contents in different environments.

INTERNET MAKES US SMART OR MORE SILLY ?

When the internet became a tool for permanent use in the human race?, I do not have the answer but  only some dates and commentaries how internet grew around the world

1990 The internet was a matter of rich countries which became a new global challenge of having connectivity to the entire human race. The society of "those without connectivity" emerged. In developing countries we were still dealing with "MOUSE" the device… and we were concentrated in learning about the new version of DOS.

1995, the internet was a challenge for the adults and a new race track for younger. Any places in different parts of the world were nearer, and in seconds they communicated with their relatives and friends living on the other side of the planet. The connection speed was a factor to improve.

Since 2003 internet became a mastering tool, a source of data and query space publishing important information and likewise the space for the sale of pornography and computer viruses that emerged in circulation.

2006 Music and movies online became the new distraction from those people more technically able. Virtual tours and the services GPS generalized the phrase

"recalculating" . It was necessary to monitor the hours that workers spent at the office connected to the internet, because it became as an obsession that influenced and reduced the quality and productivity.

2008: The Internet makes you stupid (and distracts above)

The tool approached to banks and thus to e-commerce. Then arose hackers and online crimes. Social networks emerged and became a space that could be invasive of the privacy of each to the extent. To  uploading photos, personal messages and tipped know the daily personal agenda.

Since the internet for those years exceeded that offered by cable and Wireless was later called wi-fi, wherever you go and you can be connected.

2014: The Internet makes you smarter or not? Personally, I think it helps you to be smarter or live more confused. That depends on the dedication of everyone for reflection, proper selection and pursuit of RELIABLE information.

From Clive Thompson, (Canada, 1968), columnist for The New York Times and Wired and author of Smarter than you think: how technology is changing our minds for the better is planted. He explains three changes: connecting ideas (our brain is good at giving context to the bits of information we receive on the Internet), the extended memory (like the phones do not learn because they are mobile, let part of your memory in other tools , either a hard disk or Twitter favorites ) and the infinite possibility of publication. And above all, the golden age we live to teach with search criteria.

Thompson: "Teaching Internet search is an opportunity to teach critical thinking "  If we receive constant digital 'environmental awareness', the publication is infinite and there storing all tools , the challenge is to know: 

a)     how these tools work , from the logic behind why the notifications out about results and not others and

b)  how to differentiate truthful content.
